The Lakeshore Healing Garden is a therapeutic patient garden recently completed at James Paton Memorial Health Centre.
The Lakeshore Healing Garden is not simply an ordinary garden. It is a calming place where patients, their familes and others can find beauty comfort and solitude. Research shows that thereapeutic gardens can have positive impact on patient outcomes. They can help lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, relieve stress, and for children with attention and conduct disorders, improve behaviour and learning.
The ground breaking for our patient healing garden took place in June of 2012 and since that time has grown by leaps and bounds. The total cost of the project was approximately $300,000 and we would to invite you to become part of the success.
The Lakeshore Healing Garden is a project that will benefit patients, their families, visitors and staff of the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre. It provides a wonderful positive environment for people dealing with some of life's most difficult issues.
